From the recording Back Cottage
Written by Oliver Bates Craven — Oliver writes, “I’ve always liked to sing the Tennessee and The Kentucky Waltz, but I’m from Pennsylvania. Why hadn’t someone written a waltz about my home state? Maybe it’s too many syllables. Maybe nothing rhymes with Pennsylvania. Could it possibly be that it’s just that much less romantic? I wouldn’t have it. The Keystone Waltz for The Keystone State! Written by the fireside just outside of the Back Cottage itself.”
